“In order to better ascertain her own existence, to ensure her growth and to invent her future Africa must speak to herself, tell about herself, look at herself, project herself on the screen of her own conscience.

Cinema, Television and Multimedia are modern forms of expression that Africans must conquer in order to produce specific stories which constitute a vital nutrient for their quest for their human development.

These mass communication media are the only ones which can lift Africa out of th self-awareness and representation deficit of herself and the rest of the world, a deficit which greatly hampers her capacity to master her own destiny.

This is a clock ticking exercise against time and loss of identity where the training of professionals carries a tremendous weight. This is the full justification for the existence of IMAGINE as an endeavour to serve all those who count on the role of audiovisuals to ensure a large part of Africa’s future.”
